Ricardo "Richard" Ramirez (born February 28, 1960)  is an American homicide perpetrator, "the night stalker" who created a rein of terror in Los Angeles and environs from January to August 31, 1985 when he was captured.

...  He beat, stabbed, shot, kidnapped and raped victims from the age of 6 to 84, brutal attacks in the dead of night, attacks upon strangers with no apparent process of selection other than availability. Many of the female victims had been sexually assaulted; five had their throats cut...Jury selection for his case started on July 22, 1988, and on September 20, 1989, he was found guilty of 13 counts of murder, 5 attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults and 14 burglaries. During the penalty phase of the trial on November 7, 1989, he was sentenced to die in California's gas chamber...

...Ramirez may have been influenced into killing by his cousin, Mike, a Special Forces Vietnam War veteran who boasted of killing and torturing his Vietnamese enemies and showed him Polaroid pictures of his victims... Ramirez was present the night Mike shot and killed his wife, and her blood spattered on Ramirez's face. Ramirez was 13 years old at the time ( note : July 13, 1973 ).

....By the age of 18, Richard was a habitual drug user and chronic candy eater, resulting in tooth decay and extreme halitosis. He also became involved in Satan worshipping and his general poor appearance enhanced his satanic persona. Already arrested on numerous drug and theft charges, Ramirez decided to move to southern California. There he advanced from simple theft to breaking and entering into homes. He became very proficient at it and eventually began to linger in the homes of his victims...On  August 31, 1985 at 12:00 noon in East Los Angeles, CA Ramirez was identified, chased, surrounded, and severely beaten by an angry mob in East Los Angeles as he was trying to steal a car..

Paul Kenneth Bernardo,  (born 27 August 1964 in Scarborough, Ontario), is a Canadian serial killer and rapist, known for the sexual assaults and murders he committed with his wife Karla Homolka and the serial rapes he committed in Scarborough....

childhood : Paul Bernardo's childhood was a strange one, to say the least. He was the product of an adulterous affair by his mother.

Nonetheless, he was accepted by his mother's husband and included in the family as if he was his adopted father's child. The man who accepted Paul was a pedophile who abused little girls, including his own daughter, Paul's sister. Mrs. Bernardo became aware of this somehow and reacted by becoming grossly overweight and depressed. Despite all of this, Paul Bernardo is said to have been a bright, handsome and well adjusted young man - at least until his mother told him the truth. At the age of 16, Paul Bernardo learned that the pedophile who had been raising him was not his father. Instead of being relieved, he was furious with his mother. He hated his adoptive father, but hated even more the fact that he was illegitimate. He thought of his mother as a whore and began to hate women. When he went to college at the University of Toronto, he had a string of relationships that were marred by his love of forceful sodomy. He would beat and rape his girlfriends, but always managed to stay out of trouble. Paul Bernardo went to work as a junior accountant following his graduation. He had a respectful job and was reasonably attractive. Sexual abuser : (Attacks on 19 women between 1987-1990) : Bernardo committed multiple sexual assaults, escalating in viciousness, in and around Scarborough, Ontario. Most of the assaults were on young women whom he had stalked after they exited buses late in the evening.

John Gacy case : Serial Killer - Psychosis - Paranoid Schizophrenia - Multiple Personality Disorder ( ? )

 John Wayne Gacy, Jr. (March 17, 1942 – May 10, 1994) was an American serial killer and rapist who sexually assaulted and murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978. Gacy buried 26 of his victims in the crawl space of his home... He was convicted of 33 murders and sentenced to death for 12 of these killings. He was executed in May 1994. Gacy later became known as the "Killer Clown" due to his charitable services at fundraising events, parades and children's parties where he would dress as "Pogo the Clown", a character he devised himself....

Abusive Father - victim of bullying - victim of molestation  : Gacy was born in Chicago, Illinois, the second of three children..  As a child, he was overweight and nonathletic. He was close to his two sisters and mother, but endured a difficult relationship with his father, an alcoholic who was physically abusive toward his wife and children....Throughout his childhood, Gacy strove to make his father proud of him, but seldom received his approval: one of Gacy's earliest childhood memories was of being beaten with a leather belt by his father at the age of 4 . He was regularly belittled by his father and often compared unfavorably with his sisters, enduring disdainful accusations of being "dumb and stupid". The friction between father and son was constant throughout his childhood and adolescence, yet in interviews after his arrest, Gacy always vehemently denied he hated him.

At the age of nine, Gacy was molested by a family friend...At school (where he was ordered to avoid all sports due to a heart condition), Gacy was an average student with few friends who was an occasional target for mockery and bullying by neighborhood children and classmates... During the fourth grade, Gacy began to suffer blackouts. He was occasionally hospitalized as a result of these seizures, and also in 1957 for a burst appendix...In Gacy's teenage years his father increased his physical abuse.

In August 1967, Gacy committed his first known sexual assault upon a teenage boy...

Following Gacy's marriage to Carole Hoff, his new wife and stepdaughters moved into the Summerdale Avenue house. In 1972, Gacy quit his job as a cook and started his own construction business, PDM Contractors. The business initially undertook minor repair work, such as signwriting, pouring concrete and redecorating, but later expanded to include projects such as interior design, remodeling installation, assembly and landscaping. By 1978, PDM's annual turnover would gross over $200,000.

Trial : John Gacy was brought to trial on February 6, 1980, charged with 33 murders...
Gacy had attempted to convince the doctors he was suffering from a multiple personality disorder. His lawyers, however, opted to plead not guilty by reason of insanity to the charges against him, and produced several psychiatric experts who had examined Gacy the previous year to testify to their findings. Three psychiatric experts appearing for the defense at Gacy's trial testified they found Gacy to be a paranoid schizophrenic who suffered from a multiple personality disorder.The prosecution's case was that Gacy was sane and fully in control of his actions....The jury found Gacy guilty of the thirty-three charges of murder for which he had been brought to trial;...On the morning of May 9, 1994, Gacy was transferred from the Menard Correctional Center to Stateville Correctional Center to be executed.
